MERGIN’ MODE
MixEd Reality and GeoINformatics for MOnument Demonstration
The project titled “MixEd Reality and GeoINformatics for MOnument DEmonstration”, with the acronym MERGIN’ MODE, is co‐financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness (2014-2020), Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the Special Action “Open Innovation in Culture”. MERGIN’ MODE is a Cultural Information System aiming to demonstrate monuments by merging real with virtual, in a Mixed Reality, assisted by Geoinformation technologies. More specifically, the system makes use of cutting-edge technologies in the field of Geoinformatics for creating digital surface models of high accuracy, through the usage of unmanned aerial vehicles and worldwide recognized contemporary photogrammetric tools.
