eMTCluster
Collaborative Innovation Consortia eMTCluster
The primary purpose of the eMT cluster is to contribute to the familiarization of the business, economic and social community with new technologies as tools for development, and to encourage innovation and the consequent entrepreneurship. By shaping a high technical and scientific background, closely linked to economic activities such as agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and transportation, the eMT cluster acts as a lever of empowerment in the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, which is already on a developmental trajectory due to its geographical position and natural wealth. The eMT cluster contributes to the economic development of the area, the maintenance of its workforce, the natural connection between academic research and business operations and the attraction of investments. Furthermore, the transfer of innovation into business practice conducted through the eMT cluster serves as a reference point for the exchange of expertise with other clusters, research, and business groups in Greece and the European Union.
The eMT cluster is a cluster approved by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GGRT) within the framework of the Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (EPAnEK)/Axis 02 – Collaborative Innovation Consortia (CICs).
