AdvanCing UAVs teChnology to EnabLE monitoRing for A susTainable environmEnt
The project titled «AdvanCing UAVs teChnology to EnabLE monitoRing for A susTainable environmEnt», acronym ACCELERATE, is a four-year initiative (January 2025-December 2028) funded by the HORIZON EUROPE MSCA Staff Exchanges programme. The project envisions the creation of a robust interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral ecosystem that advances UAV technologies for sustainable environmental monitoring. By integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with drone-based data, ACCELERATE seeks to address the challenges posed by climate change and develop standardized protocols for UAV deployment in various environmental domains. The project focuses on building a continuously evolving UAV data ecosystem, advancing drone technology through state-of-the-art methodologies, and establishing harmonized application guidelines. Its impact will be demonstrated through four innovative Use Cases, while a series of structured secondments will foster meaningful collaboration between academia and industry across nine countries.
