LONG, EXTENDABLE FLIGHT TIME

 

A lightweight frame and efficient motors give you up to 40 minutes* of flight time. For greater flexibility when adding additional payload, an optional second battery can be mounted into a dedicated power slot.

*Flight times vary based on payload and flight conditions, and the maximum 40 minute flight time tested when hovering with dual TB48D batteries and no additional payload.

EXPANSION BAYS

UNIVERSAL POWER AND COMMUNICATION PORTS


Connect and fly with a range of DJI or third party devices, and transmit data to the ground in real time. The Matrice 100 has dual parallel CAN ports for connecting DJI devices including the Guidance sensor system and dual parallel UART ports for connecting third party components of your choice. Now it is easy to mount your own equipment and put it into the sky.

 ADJUSTABLE ARM ANGLE FOR GREATER TORQUE

 

Flexible to match your flight needs, adjusting the arm angle of each of the 4 arms is quick and easy. Achieve increased yaw torque and greater response by tilting the arms to a 3 degree angle.

To reduce vibrations, increase stiffness, and bring unmatched reliability, your Matrice 100 is made of strong, lightweight carbon fiber. Each of the arms contains DJI’s new soft vibration absorbing material that virtually eliminates feedback from the powerful motors, keeping your critical components stable and allowing unprecedented accuracy.

DEDICATED REMOTE CONTROLLER

 

Take control of your platform with the customizable, long-range remote controller included with the Matrice 100. With an operating distance of up to 3.1 miles* (5km), a rechargeable battery, fully adjustable controls, and outputs to connect to your mobile device, this is the perfect tool to command your system in the air.

GUIDANCE

 

 

Guidance is a revolutionary visual sensing system. With a powerful processing core, integrated visual cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and the most advanced computer vision algorithms in the world, Guidance protects your platform and gives you a new level of safety and confidence in flight. Guidance includes five sensor modules and one central processor.

Even without GPS, achieve hovering that is accurate to within centimeters. Even when flying at high speeds, high-precision stereo algorithms provide positioning information over nearly any terrain. Guidance’s vision positioning system is effective at altitudes of up to 20 meters (65 feet).

Obstacle Sensing in Every Direction

Guidance continuously scans the nearby environment and detects obstacles in real time. When used with a DJI flight controller, it can tell your flight system to automatically avoid collision, even at high speeds.

N1 VIDEO ENCODER

 


The N1 video encoder is intended for the Matrice 100 and offers video signal transmission and firmware upgrade capabilities if you are not using the Zenmuse X3 Gimbal with Camera as your recording device. The AV and HDMI ports on the encoder receive video input from the non-DJI camera to generate a live HD video feed in the DJI GO app. In addition, users may utilize the Micro USB port on the encoder to upgrade the firmware of various modules on the M100.

X3 CAMERA & GIMBAL

 

The Zenmuse X3 Gimbal and Camera Unit from DJI features the same 4K camera and 3-axis gimbal that is included with ready-to-fly versions of the Inspire 1 and Matrice 100 quadcopters.

4K Camera, 12mpixel still images

The Camera shoots 4K video at 24p and 30p, and can shoot HD video frame rates from 24p to 60p. It features a ½.3” CMOS sensor with a 94-degree field of view (FOV) lens. This field of view works out to about 20mm in 35mm equivalent, which gives you a wide but not extremely wide or fisheye framing – while not as immersive as a fisheye, this FOV features less distortion and gives the subject more emphasis

3-Axis Brushless Motor Gimbal

The camera is mounted via an integrated 3-axis gimbal which uses brushless servo motors to keep the shot stable and the horizon level. The camera pans a full 360-degrees so that no matter which way the quadcopter turns, the camera can remain locked on the subject. Manual panning and tilting can be affected using controls on the transmitter.
